Savaresi won the IFAC Congress Interactive Paper Prize for the outstanding paper “Road Slope Estimation in Bicycles without Torque Measurements” for “clarity and originality of the paper, for elegance of the poster, and for a convincing oral presentation”.

mOve team member Vincenzo Manzoni has won (with his co-author Federico Monizza) the 13th edition of the prize Premio CEI – Miglior tesi di laurea“, for the best Italian MsC Thesis in 2008 “Analisi e sviluppo di una procedura di taratura automatica per il sistema di controllo dell’inversore in macchine agricole”.

The mOve team has a pop-star! Giovanni Alli opened the 2nd day of the 2009 edition of “Festival di Sanremo”, within the “Jubilate Chorus” of Legnano, founded and directed by Paolo Alli.
December 2008: Matteo Corno, Mara Tanelli, Ivo Boniolo, Sergio M. Savaresi won the “General Chairs’ Recognition Award for Interactive Papers” for the paper “Advanced Yaw Control of Four-wheeled Vehicles via Rear Active Differential Braking in interactive session” at the Combined 48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and 28th Chinese Control Conference.
In June 2008 E-shock s.r.l. was founded: it is a new start-up company focused on the design and production of electronically-controlled suspension systems, and their integration with other vehicle electronic control systems.
The mOve-team paper “Savaresi S.M., M. Tanelli, C. Cantoni (2007). Mixed slip-deceleration control in automotive braking systems. ASME Transactions: Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control, Vol.129, n.1, pp.20-31” has been awarded with the 2008 ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Rudolf Kalman Best Paper Award.

An idea of some members of the mOve team has won the 2nd-prize of the Lombardia Region “Start-Cup” contest, for the best 2007 start-up company project (Project “smart-damper”, presented by Sergio M. Savaresi, Cristiano Spelta, Andrea Moneta, Filippo Tosi).
The mOve team is involved in the organization, management and teaching of the Executive Master Milan-Singapore in “ICT and Design for Innovation” (http://www.e-midi.net/), organized by CEFRIEL, in cooperation with the Politecnico di Milano and the Nanyang Technical University, Singapore.
The mOve team has organized, in May 2007, a 1-day workshop in Milano on “Future applications of vehicles control”. The website of the event is http://conferenze.dei.polimi.it/ControlloVeicoli07/.
